The Linguistic Remedies Update Class is for teachers who have taken the Introductory Linguistic Remedies class during or before 2007 who want to update their knowledge of the current program and renew their skills. The 2011 Linguistic Remedies Manual, the first major revision since 2002, is included in the $110 cost of the 4 1/2 hour workshop (9:00-1:30). We will be sure that all are up to date on additions and improvements in individualizing, vocabulary, comprehension, and in presentations of vowels and syllabification and writing and composition, and new spelling and language games. The manual includes much teacher support and many charts, scaffolds, and records for profiling, modifying instruction and communicating progress with children, parents, and teachers. We will arrange getting manuals to participants before class, and include questions to prepare and bring to class, to enrich the experience.
